I adore her Anne books but my favourite L. M. Montgomery novel is The Blue Castle. Valancy’s story never fails to move me; I love the humour and the romance in this surprising story. It’s got a great twist and Barney Snaith is one of my all-time favourite heroes. If you haven’t read it you have a treat in store. A delightful book.
