AFTER GEORGETTE: Lady Betty Across the Water (1906) by A. M. and C. N. Williamson

This engaging tale of a beautiful aristocrat introduced to wealthy 1900s New York society is simply delightful. Reading the naïve yet insightful Lady Betty’s journal, we see her become much feted in the very title-conscious confines of the nouveau riche elite. Betty’s wonderment is very entertaining, as is the love story that unfolds quite unexpectedly. A forgotten gem.
