Illustrations from “Whose Fault Was It?” — The Happy Mag (1923)

Georgette Heyer’s seventh published short story is a tale of marriage and Ming pottery (though, as it turns out, the vase in the story is not technically from the Ming dynasty), as newlyweds George and Diana try to find some common ground.

The story ran in The Happy Mag with these two illustrations, showing the spouses becoming jealous:

“Whose Fault Was It?” — with background and commentary — is now available to read in Acting on Impulse — Contemporary Short Stories by Georgette Heyer.
