THIS ONE. No matter how huge the font of our beloved author’s name, no matter how pretty the roses or sumptuous the brocade background (that is there for some reason), that appalling miniature with the hatchet-faced Arabella and the Robert Beaumaris who looks like he is barely out of the schoolroom — unless this is supposed to be Bertram? — is completely unforgivable. F
