Again, the fashions aren’t quite right, but the attitude of these two women does almost lend itself to the story. The peach-clad lady is Nell and the blue is Letty, and between them they are bemoaning the unreasonableness of Cardross. Quite why Regency beauty Nell is doing that in a Court Dress is more than can be imagined, however. B-
